An Analytic Manager is responsible for managing a reporting and/or analysis function or parts of a decision-strategies function within a business group or functional area. Decision-strategies function may include insight consulting, analytics/modeling, and/or database/information management, etc. Evaluates, recommends and implements strategies for developing and utilizing technical and/or analytic resources to enable initiatives and projects that predict, improve, support, and measure business success. This requires understanding of business objectives and underlying drivers to embed them into information, analytic, and data management processes.

The role is aligned with one or more groups and partners with those teams to help them achieve their goals through the design and implementation of predictive analytics to drive proactive resolutions to anticipated issues. Then, taking these insights, this role works with the various operational leads to design a set of initiatives to help drive the improvements with a keen focus on direct KPI or financial metric improvements.

Qualifications for Analytics Manager

      Bachelor’s degree required to include experience and proven impact in a role of this nature; MBA or graduate work focused on analytics a plus.
      Working with clients to define information needs and translating them into specific data/technical requirements to support business initiatives and projects.
      Analytical and statistical Experience with SAS or SQL, or R in a business setting, or other data management,
      Advanced mathematical skills with a comprehensive understanding and working knowledge of statistical concepts that include, but are not limited to, probabilities, correlation analyses, regression analyses, simulation analyses and optimization.
      Determining the required capabilities, tools and data.
      Leveraging and developing multiple internal or external information sources.
      Managing and prioritizing multiple complex projects and project teams.
      Management experience in a large corporate, multi-line business organization
      Leadership experience with ability to effectively manage and engage teams
      Ability to identify inefficiencies, opportunities to streamline business processes, and implement change
